“In every challenge there is a stage for courage.

You don’t have to perform perfectly.

Just show up.”

Anastasia Diamantopoulou

I studied Social Work in Patras and then returned to Athens to train as a Drama Therapist in the four-year Drama Therapy program at the Aion Institute. From the early years of my studies, I participated in internships in mental health facilities, daycare centers, programs for the elderly, and municipal support services for vulnerable social groups.

As a mental health professional, I have worked in mental health facilities, day care centers, residential facilities for minors, and public secondary schools. In particular, as a drama therapist, I work with children and adolescents with both developmental difficulties and typical development, providing individual and group sessions, parent counseling, and family sessions. At the same time, I provide psychotherapy for adults.

Services

Psychotherapy for Adults

Adult psychotherapy through drama therapy is an experiential and psychodynamic approach that utilizes role, symbolism, and creative means of expression to foster deeper exploration of a person’s personal history and inner processes.

Parent Counseling

Parent counseling focuses on supporting and empowering the parental role, helping parents understand and effectively manage issues related to raising their children.

Adolescent Psychotherapy

(through Drama Therapy)

Adolescent psychotherapy through drama therapy is an experiential therapeutic approach that offers teenagers an alternative way of expressing themselves and exploring their inner world.

Child Psychotherapy

(through Drama Therapy)

Child psychotherapy through drama therapy is a creative and experiential therapeutic approach that uses play, role, and symbolism as primary means of expression. For children, play is their natural “language.”

Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that every person carries within them the potential for growth, healing, and creative expression. I work in an integrative way, drawing from dramatherapy, psychodynamic principles, and elements of humanistic therapy to adapt my methods to the unique needs of each individual. In my sessions, I aim to create a safe, accepting, and collaborative environment where emotions, experiences, and personal narratives can be explored with openness and curiosity.
